Minnich has developed a novel dust collection system that meets requirements and can be retrofitted
Minnich Manufacturing has developed a new system that will further cut dust emissions from its concrete drilling unit. The latest Minnich dust collection system has been designed to meets the requirements for dowel pin drills. The requirements can be found in Table 1 of the new Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) respirable crystalline silica standard, when used with an appropriate filter. A key feature is that the canister-style dust collector can also be retrofitted to any Minnich on-grade, on-slab, machine-mounted or utility drill model. And the firm says that the unit can also be adapted to fit a range of equipment from other manufacturers.
