Many of the road and bridge improvements being carried out or completed across Cambodia have benefited from Chinese funding. A series of loans worth some US$3 billion in all have been supplied from various Chinese lenders and routed through the Chinese Government.
In all, around 3,000km of roads in Cambodia as well as eight bridges have been constructed with the assistance of Chinese financial backing.
