The tender process for Brazil’s 364/365 highway will commence in mid-September 2019. The 437km route connects Jatai, Ituiutaba and Uberlandia in Minas Gerais State. The concession deal will be for 30 years and investment in the road is expected to be worth US$1.22 billion. The tender will be awarded to the firm offering the lowest toll rate. The national land transport agency, ANTT, is overseeing the tender process.

Around 130 road projects are facing delays in Brazil, according to a data from Brazil's national land transport association ANTT. A report in the newspaper O Estado de Paulo noted that many delays are caused by problems with environmental licences and expropriations, as well as a decrease in road traffic due to the economic crisis. Among projects that were meant to have been completed are those by concession holders Rota do Oeste for the Via 040, Concebra for the Eco 101 and MSVia and Galvão for BR-15

Interest is strong in the tender for Brazil’s proposed Rio-Niteroi bridge project. So far three groups have expressed an interest in tendering for the project, EcoRodovias, Arteris, and current contract holder CCR. The tender will commence on March 18th 2015. A number of other groups had shown interest but will duck out due to legal issues relating to the Lava-Jato case that is ongoing at present. Widening work to a 453km section of Brazil’s BR-163 highway will be carried out by the consortium, Rota do Oeste. The firm is the current operator of the highway and is receiving a US$298.84 million loan from national development bank BNDES to fund the necessary widening of the route. The deal has been approved by the Brazilian land transport agency, ANTT. The funds will also be used to provide maintenance work for this section of the BR-163 highway.

Work is underway securing the finances for key highway projects in Brazil. The tender process for the US$1.72 billio Tamoios Highway project is now underway and the bids are due in mid-May 2014, according to Business News Americas. The project involves a 30 year concession package to operate and maintain the SP-99 Planalto and Serra stretches of the Tamoios highway, connecting the coastal cities of São José dos Campos and Caraguatatuba. Two major highway concessions are being opened for tender in Brazil. The deals are for two, 30-year concessions worth some US$5.43 billion. The tenders cover the widening, maintenance and operation of some 2.028km of highways. The tender process is being handled by Brazil's national ground transport agency, ANTT. The largest tender is for 1,177km of highway and including BR-060, BR-153 and BR-262.

Plans are in hand in Brazil’s Minas Gerais State for work to an 817km stretch of the BR-116 highway. The project is expected to cost in the region of US$2.48 billion to carry out. The Brazilian Transport Agency (ANTT) is opening the project to tender and it will be offered under a concession package. The 817km section of the highway will feature eight toll stations. Meanwhile, ANTT is opening the preliminary tender for the concession of the BR-040 motorway at the end of December 2012

A complex legal tangle is surrounding Brazil’s BR-101 highway concession. The signing of the concession deal was suspended following the issue of two separate injunctions by the country’s legal authorities. These injunctions also delayed bidding that had been planned by the ANTT, Brazil's National Authority for Terrestrial Transport. The concession for the BR-101 highway was originally won in January 2012 by with a bid that was lower than the minimum set by the Brazilian Government.
