Xylem company Godwin has launched the Vac-Prime low-head pump to complement its Dri-Prime medium- to high-head range. Xylem’s Godwin Vac-Prime has been specifically designed for lower-head dewatering applications. It can manage heads of 11m to 25m, flows of 100m3/hour to 374m3/hour and solids with sizes from 45mm to 75mm. The pump is available in 4” and 6” (101mm and 152mm) versions.

Showcasing its range of Godwin portable pumps featuring non-clog Flygt N-technology will be Xylem, which says its Godwin NC-Series is engineered to deliver clog-free pumping for maximum uptime and effectiveness. The design of Flygt N-hydraulics allows stringy solids to pass through easily without clogging the pump and has been used successfully in Flygt dry installed and submersible pumps since 1997. Xylem has opened a new sales and service office in Panama to provide greater customer support to the developing Latin American market. The water technology company, focused on addressing the world’s most challenging water issues, says the expansion reflects its commitment to expansion within emerging markets. The company’s Flygt and Godwin pumps are already being used for the Panama Canal expansion project for dredging and construction works.
