Deadlines changed for US$1 billion Chilean road projects

The bid deadlines have been changed for Chilean road projects worth US$1 billion.

Two road projects in Chile worth a total of US$1 billion have had their bidding deadlines changed. The road concession tenders are for routes in Biobio and Nuble and the deadlines have been switched to March 2025. These were originally planned to be complete by 9th August 2024.

According to Chile’s Ministry of Public Works (MOP), the delays result from issues with gaining the necessary permissions as well as increased costs.
