From the construction site, to the concert stage, to the front lines of disaster relief efforts, the new EU Stage IIIA engine emission compliant generators from 3771 Doosan Portable Power are said to offer customers, including rental companies, contractors and event organisers, robustness, reliability and high performance.

The G80-IIIA (80kVA prime power) and G100-IIIA (100 kVA prime power) generators are said to share a similar design and characteristics to the larger G150-IIIA and G200-IIIA models launched in 2012.

Doosan believes the rental market will specifically note that the G80-IIIA and G100-IIIA offer, according to the South Korean company, the highest flexibility available in the market, with an innovative fuel tank frame system offering a containment base integrated as standard in the frame. This is said by Doosan to ensure 110% fluid containment capacity. The generator duo have a standard fuel capacity said to offer a minimum of 12 hours of autonomous operation (at 75% of the load), while a 24-hour onboard fuel tank configuration is available as an option.

As fuel quality and storage are major concerns for rental companies, routine fuel tank maintenance has been simplified with special attention to the fuel tank cleaning and port draining processes. A three-way fuel supply valve is available, as a modular option, which, when linked to an external fuel connection module, is said to provide maximum autonomy.  A manual engine oil sump pump option is also available.

Accessibility to key power generator areas, including the centrally positioned lifting eye, engine radiator compartment and maintenance points, is said to have been improved.  The air flow is also said to have been optimised throughout the generator unit to meet cooling requirements for locations with high ambient temperatures, without detracting from the electrical output performance.

The electrical control and power compartment on both models is said to be easy-to-use and designed to meet the highest safety, reliability and flexibility requirements.

The output performance stability of the generators is said to be ensured by an efficient powertrain featuring a combination of 257 John Deere Stage IIIA engines and Leroy Somer alternators.
