Hillhead exhibition sets attendance record

Good weather helped boost attendance at Hillhead 2018 to record levels

The recent 5894 Hillhead quarrying equipment exhibition set an attendance record according to the show organisers. Taking place over three days at 2399Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton, in Derbyshire, the even attracted a record-breaking 19,687 visitors. This surpassed the show’s previous highest attendance record set in 2005. This year also saw more exhibitors (over 527) in attendance than ever before, many of them occupying newly created space in the enlarged Registration Pavilion.


A number of large machines were being shown for the first time at hillhead, including units from Komatsi, Volvo CE, Powerscreen, Keestrack, Sandvik and EvoQuip. A more extensive review of Hillhead 2018 will be published on the Hillhead website later this month.

The next Hillhead show will take place in late June 2020. Further details and precise dates will be announced in due course.
