Construction is underway for a major coastal route in Eastern Vietnam. The project is providing an important coastal road connection for Thua Thien-Hue province.
The final section of the new sea-crossing have been placed and this is 2.4km in length, spanning the Thuan An estuary. The sea crossing provides an important link for the new 22km coastal road. An 8km stretch of the coastal route, including the sea-crossing, should be ready for traffic in the third quarter of 2025.
The new coastal road will link with the existing highway network and will help tourism in the area around Hue City.
