2300 Komatsu has unveiled the first prototype machine in a range of backhoe loaders with engines that meet EU Stage IV regulations. The WB93R is scheduled to go on sale in September with a second model due a few months later.

“This new series represents a perfect match between performance and efficiency,” says Alex Visentin, product manager at Komatsu Europe. “Keeping the exceptional visibility and exclusive design for the work equipment of the previous models, our new backhoe loaders deliver high production and give special attention to the operator’s needs”.

Improvements in previous models include a power engine increase to 75kW; a viscous engine fan clutch designed to reduce noise and fuel consumption; improved cooling performance due to optimisation of the cooling radiator, its fan and the layout.
