This is the second contract extension for Telent which will manage and operate digital technology services for the English agency’s National Roads Telecommunications Service, NRTS.

Telent Technology Services has been awarded a major eight-year traffic signals and ITS maintenance contract for England’s Essex county. The award was given to Telent, a UK-based company, by the contractor Ringway Jacobs on behalf of the Essex Highways Partnership. The deal will include maintenance of 231 traffic signal junctions, 262 traffic signal crossings, four emergency wig-wag lights, 30 car park count sites, 48 car park guidance Variable Message Signs (VMS), 17 vehicle actuated signs and 398 school

UK technology and network services company telent has been awarded a four-year contract to provide traffic signal maintenance services to England’s Sandwell Council. The deal marks the third win for telent’s traffic business in 2018, following wins with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Oxfordshire County Council, both also in England. The Sandwell deal – tendered - sees telent retain its decade-long contract. It covers 109 traffic signal junctions, 174 pedestrian crossings and eight journey-time monitoring

UK government agency Highways England has awarded telent Technology Services with a major contract to manage over 30,000 roadside assets including messages signs and cameras. Under the seven-year deal worth around €510 million, telent Technology will run the agency’s National Roads Telecommunications Service in England. The centre connects seven regional control centres as well as the national traffic operations centre.
