Thailand’s Ministry of Transport intends to boost connectivity between the country’s capital, Bangkok, and the surrounding provinces. An impressive budget of US$7.77 billion has been set for the work for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, with many of the projects to be handled under the PPP model.

The plans call for 204km of new traffic lanes and new road sections to be added to Thailand's network. One of the biggest projects is for the construction of the 18.5km Srinagarindra-Suvarnabhumi airport highway, which is costing $1.07 billion. Other key projects include the 16.4km Ekkachai-Ban Phaeo highway costing $589 million and the 18km Rangsit-Bang Pa-in highway, which is costing $841 million.
