Contracts are being awarded for a stretch of Romania’s A8 Union Highway. The stretch between Targu Mures and Miercurea Nirajului has been split into six separate sections.

Financing for the work is being supplied by the Romanian National Road Research and Development Fund (PNRR). The A8 stretches from Targu Mures to Miercurea Nirajului and from Leghin to Targu Neamt are worth €495.2 million. Turkish contractor Nurol Insaat VE Ticaret is handling work on part of the A8 project. The Leghin to Targu Neamt section will be built by the Association SA&PE Construct- Spedition UMB SRL – Tehnostrade.
