A budget of US$471 million has been set for Indiana’s interstate interchange upgrade works, currently underway. The Indiana Department of Transportation is managing the project, which will see major revamping works to the I-465 and I-69 interchange.

The project commenced at the start of 2022 and is due for completion in late 2025. The work involves building 14 new bridges and adding lanes, boosting capacity. The interchange improvements will boost traffic flow with the new on and off ramps able to handle more vehicles and allow higher travel speeds.

Once the work is complete, drivers will benefit from reduced journey times and lower levels of congestion, particularly at peak travel periods.
