Q-Free wins congestion charging contract in Gothenburg

Trafikverket has informed Q-Free that the company will be awarded the contract for delivery of the congestion charging infrastructure in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

1096 Trafikverket has informed 310 Q-Free that the company will be awarded the contract for delivery of the congestion charging infrastructure in the Swedish city of Gothenburg.

The contractual value is US$16 million and comprises delivery of road side equipment, infrastructure and service and maintenance for two years with an option for additional six years. The final contract value will be dependent on selected options and also the duration of the service and maintenance contract.

"This is a strategic important award since its represents yet another important reference within congestion charging, and not at least since there will be several market opportunities in Sweden going forward," commented Oyvind Isaksen, Q-Free CEO.
