Highway Care in SMA deal

Highway Care, in the UK, has agreed an exclusive deal to supply SMA Road Safety’s Ermes End Terminals and the Leonidas family of crash cushions.

Highway Care was the first to introduce a P4 End Terminal and Crash Cushion to the UK market in the early 2000’s since when around 50,000 units have been installed, according to the company.

For the SMA deal, Highway Care will supply a full range of high-speed solutions, including end terminals, in six variants of installation and performance speed. It will also supply crash cushions in 43 variants of width and performance speed.

SMA Road Safety, founded in 2011 has developed more than 30 vehicle restraint systems, specifically crash cushions and end terminals. Since 2016 it been developing monitoring systems and SMART solutions for managing, installing and repairing the SMA products.

Highway Care are a highway and security turnkey solutions provider, established in 1974. In the early 2000s, Highway Care developed the BG800 portable steel barrier.
