Komatsu new small dozers
Komatsu is widening the range of intelligent machines it offers in Europe with the launch of its new small dozers

262 Komatsu Europe International is now offering the sophisticated D37EXi/PXi-23 bulldozer to the European market.

The machine is equipped with Komatsu’s latest intelligent machine control technology and is said to perform both finish grading and rough dozing in full automatic blade control mode. This is the second intelligent Machine Control Komatsu dozer model available in Europe. Inside the cab, different modes allow the machine operation to be optimised to the application, while blade load settings are adjustable to match the material. The machine control system can be left with its automatic blade control engaged as it accurately automates lowering at the start of a pass and raising at the end of a pass.

For this new dozer, the conventional add-on machine control components mounted on the blade are replaced with factory-installed cab top GNSS antenna, enhanced inertial measuring units, and stroke sensing hydraulic cylinders. These components are installed on the production line, along with the machine control monitor and controllers mounted inside the cab. Power for the machine comes from a diesel rated at 66kW and which meets emission requirements while other features include long track-on-ground (EXi) tracks as standard.
