The E245B Multifunction Demolition completes the company's offering for demolition applications and for multi-function functionalities, and benefits from an improved cab, low emission engine technology and improved hydraulics for higher control and improved productivity.

Indeed, the model has already been preferred and selected by several of New Holland's key customers in Europe including the Italian Army. A total of 24 units are being delivered, and the Italian Firefighting Corp selected the E 245B Demolition to initiate the demolition activities in Abruzzo after April's earthquake in the town.

New Holland says a feature on the machine lies in the two connection pins of the arms whose height has been increased to increase machine stability in all working conditions, while it is also equipped with swing angle sensors, a feature for high reach applications, and with the Object Handling Kit as standard.

The 27.8tonne E 245B Multifunction is available with a 1,000kg optional counterweight to be mounted on top of the standard weight, and New Holland also offers features for specific low stability working conditions.

It has a maximum working height of 13.66m; digging depth of almost 10m; maximum reach of almost 13.5m, and offers high digging and penetration power both in the three-piece and four-piece boom versions.
