Power comes from an electronically controlled Tier 3 SD13 diesel that drives through a power shift transmission control valve and a mechanical transmission system, which is said to be effective and fuel-efficient. The machine is said to deliver 136kN of tractive force and also features hydraulically powered wet brakes. Other features include double fuel tanks for the G9260, as well as a new falling-object and rollover protection structure (FOPS/ROPS) and an electric-hydraulic locking mechanism.
