The new asphalt heating system from Kasi Infrared allows faster asphalt repair
Fast and effective asphalt repairs can be made using the new 2428 Kasi infrared heating system. The improved machine has an upgraded infrared chamber that allows asphalt repairs of 1.52m2 areas in under 20 minutes and this improved chamber also has a longer life of over 10 years. The new 228mm wide Inconel alloy, heating converter offers a wider infrared heating mesh design and heats asphalt faster, deeper and more evenly. The greater heating coverage can soften existing asphalt to be patched, up to a 76mm depth in as little as four minutes, about half the time of typical infrared heat converters. This uniform heat coverage eliminates potential hot or cold spots, making scarifying of existing asphalt to remove seams easier. The wider heating converter mesh design generates more heat with better coverage and reduces the need for replacement parts used in typical asphalt infrared repair technology.

New infrared asphalt restoration technologies, such as the Patriot system, are more reliable than before and offer cost benefits over time-consuming, cut-and-fill asphalt repairs. This technology offers benefits over conventional repairs which leave seams that can allow water penetration. Where thes eams are not watertight, the repaired, filled-in portion can fail within a year or so, however infrared technology blends the new asphalt with the old by heating an area 152-203mm beyond the perimeter of the rep
