Uruguay’s project tender attracts interest

Interest has been strong in the tender process for Uruguay’s Road Corridor Number 5 project.

Interest has been strong in the tender process for Uruguay’s Road Corridor Number 5 project. The design, finance, build, operate (DFBO) contract is for a 188.4km section of highway, which includes a stretch of Ruta 14 as well as a section of Ruta 15. Bids have been received from Mota-Engil Peru and Consorcio Atlantico (made up of CVC, Serviam, Ebital and Rover Alcisa). They have also been received from the Sacyr Concesiones-Grinor consortium made up of Espina Obras Hidraulicas, Sociedad Anonima de Obras y Servicios and Torrescamara y CIA de Obras and a consortium comprising Aldesa Construcciones, Coalvi Renovables and Ramon C Alvarez. Meanwhile the tender process for the Road Corridor Number 6 is opening shortly, having been slightly delayed.
