Vögele is introducing its latest in pavers in India
The fourth edition of 8252 Bauma Conexpo India, which took place at Gurugram, near New Delhi, was dominated by road construction manufacturers and distributors, sharing heightened business confidence and buoyed by the Indian government's major thrust to develop road infrastructure. 359 Volvo CE India launched its new P 5320B ABG paver. According to Volvo CE, the paver is designed to achieve optimal efficiency and quality in medium and large scale projects where paving widths range from 2.5-7m. According to Dimitrov Krishnan, VP & Head, Volvo CE India, “The best in class power is capable of pushing 25tonne trucks and pulls the Volvo screed with ease, even at maximum paving width.” Volvo CE also exhibited new SD 110Ba, 11tonne single drum compactor and 9tonne asphalt compactor. Dimitrov said, “Both the products, with heavy drum weight, provides equal measures of efficiency, versatility and stability to ensure superior compaction.”

Delhi-based, Indian, construction equipment conglomerate, Action Construction Equipment will enlarge business presence in the growing road construction equipment sector. The company showcased its, AG 176 motor graders, vibratory compactors, backhoe loaders, tractors along with new mobile cranes. Sorab Agarwal, Director, ACE said, “Our entry into the road construction business is quite nascent involving five years. During this period, we have strongly added perfection to the products at various levels, so as to make them attuned to various application requirements of the contractors. Making the units cost-effective, productive and reliable, has been our major emphasis. This is evident in our 15tonne motor graders, fitted with 2304 ZF technology transmission, delivering best in class output. Looking forward to expand the product portfolio, we will introduce our new 14tonne graders. We expect business to be driven by our 3.5tonne and 9tonne class tandem rollers and 10-12tonne class soil compactors fitted with fuel efficient, Kirloskar engines.”
2395 Wirtgen India showcased its new generation SP 64 and SP 94 concrete slipform pavers which are advanced from SP 500 concrete pavers. The new pavers come with side levellers and load sensors, among other newer features. Ramesh Palagiri, MD, Wirtgen India said, “Our objective to come up with tracked concrete slipform pavers is due to good demand of the products, led by the Indian government’s thrust to develop concrete roads. Led by growing demand, there has been 30-40% growth in concrete slipform pavers.”

Exhibiting new products from the 1194 Vögele range, Wirtgen displayed 4 new pavers for the Indian market: the Super 1400 and Super 1403, manufactured at the company's plant in Pune; and its Super 1900-3 and Super 2100-3 from Germany. The products are the latest offering from the Dash-3 generation of pavers. Palagiri said, “With the new Super 1400 and Super 1403, Vögele is offering true all-Indian road pavers for pave widths up to 7.3m.” Both the pavers come with Ergo basic for easy paver operation. Demand for asphalt pavers is estimated to be around 400 units in India.

Gujarat-based Venus Equipment displayed its new VI 4500 concrete screed paver at 1260 BC India 2016. Launched three months ago by the company, the paver can pave a width of 4-6m. It launched its new FU 7000 fixed form paver as well, which can pave between 7-15m.

Abhishek Sales Corporation, the authorised distributor for 161 Atlas Copco India, participated at BC India 2016 and showcased the latest offerings from Atlas Copco’s light compaction and concrete equipment portfolio and the CC125 ‘Ride on Roller’.
“There is a definite demand for the ride on rollers, where there is precise requirement for shoulder paving. There aren’t many companies present in this segment in India. Atlas Copco with its equipment built on European standards backed by timely and adequate service support will surely look towards tapping the road equipment business segment,” said Nitin Lall, general manager, Atlas Copco (India), Construction Technique, adding, “We will increase promotion of our ride on rollers across the 6-9-11tonne class based on 206 Dynapac Technology.” 1170 SANY Heavy Industry India exhibited its SAG 160 motor graders and SAP-200C6S, SAP series asphalt pavers along with its excavators, piling rigs, telescopic and crawler cranes, mixers and concrete batch mix plants.

Deepak Garg, CEO, SANY Heavy Industry India said, “We have positioned our SAG-Series of graders and SAP series of asphalt pavers as more economical propositions, featuring higher levels of fuel efficiency and reliability, backed by appropriate service support.

Being economical products, we are looking to promote the graders and pavers to road construction companies, excavator owners and smaller crane rental agencies as packaged offering.” SANY India will promote its road equipment solutions through direct sales and might consider to appoint dealers in a phased manner.

Concrete equipment manufacturer, KYBConmat, the fully-owned subsidiary of KYB Japan launched its new MR 70, 7m3 transit mixers, driven by power take off on an Eicher chassis. It is manufactured at the company’s state-of- the-art Vadodara facility.
Nagesh Kudva, director marketing, Construction Equipment Division of KYB-Conmat said, “Due to extra low slump and high discharge performance, the new MR 70 mixers can be very suitably used for slipform road concrete paving. The C-shaped spirals of the mixing drum enhance agitating performance, so the concrete could be worked with during delays. This is especially if the lead distance between the batching plants and the road project sites is long.” KYB-Conmat also manufactures MR60, 6m3 and MR 80, 8m3 transit mixers.

KYB-Conmat also showcased its new CRP 2400, 240m3/hr concrete batching plant. Kudva mentioned, “The new high-capacity concrete batching plant is suitable for long stretches of concrete roads coupled with tight project completion schedules, especially those requiring 8 lakh m3 of concrete to be placed within 24 months. The concrete batch mix plants with double mixers and two compressors, work on electronic systems.”

Indian construction equipment manufacturer and distributor, Fine Equipments displayed its new FMG 170, 15tonne motor grader at BC India 2016.

Neeraj Gaur, managing director, Fine Equipments said, “We have started assembling the grader successfully at our Pune plant. The graders are highly productive and reliable. Fitted with ZF Transmission, and fuel-efficient 196 Cummins engines, we will market the grader to the contractors looking for an economical solution.”
