A new satellite monitoring system, JCB LiveLink, is being introduced on the full range of JCB machines. The advanced telematics system offers the ability for improved performance and accurate monitoring, and by plugging into the machine's own diagnostic system, JCB LiveLink provides a wealth of machine information, including hours worked, temperatures and pressures. One of the major benefits is the ability to better protect machines against theft.

CompAir is launching a new, fuel-efficient range comprising three high-pressure portable compressors.

Parker Hannifin has improved its range of icount online particle and moisture detectors. The firm now offers an innovative self-contained, portable device for measuring quality and cleanliness of hydraulic oils and fuels. Called the icountOS (Oil Sampler), this competitively priced system features a laser detection particle counter, battery and pump.

Atlas Copco has launched its smallest portable air compressor, the XAS27. This unit is said to offer power, reliability and durability and delivers 27litres/s at pressures of up to 7bars.

In an interesting development Wacker Neuson is now promoting sales of used equipment. The firm recently held an equipment auction, with a wide range of units being sold including internal vibrators, pumps, rammers, plates and compact equipment weighing up to 15tonnes.

Euro Auctions experienced its strongest sale results ever at the recent unreserved auction at its site in Leeds in the UK. With 3,661 lots for auction at one sale, it was a record for the firm, with the hammer price climbing 5% up on the previous high at the site. The sales strength of the auction shows the increasing demand for used plant in the market.
