Work on three expressway projects in China’s Jilin Province will be headed by the China Railway Group. The expressway projects will all be handled under the PPP model and have a total value of US$4.56 billion.

One of the projects is for the 144km Changchu city circle eastern ring expressway. Another is for the 113.3km Songchang expressway, while the third is for the 44km Bailin expressway.

China's Zhejiang Government Procurement and Public Resources Trading Centre has revealed the winners of the tender for a section of the Yongtaiwen Expressway upgrade works. The 43km road section will be between Sanmen Ma'aoling and Linhai Qingling and is expected to cost $1.7 billion to improve.

The work will be complex as the topography along the alignment is hilly and it will require the construction of 105 bridges of various sizes. More challenging still will be the construction of seven tunnel sections with a total length of 9.2km.

Meanwhile, the tender process is opening for a 38.3km stretch of road in Jinhua city, Zhejiang province. Building the link is expected to cost $1.67 billion and the road section will part of the route between Shangrao and Ningbo.

The tender process is being handled by the Zhejiang Department of Transport. The work will be handled in three separate packages, SG1, SG02 and SG03.
