Russia’s capital Moscow is to benefit from the construction of an additional 185km of new roads in the period from 2022-2024. Including roads currently being built, this will deliver an extra 500km of roads for Moscow by 2024. The work is costing US$2.8 billion and includes building new tunnel stretches and bridges.

Meanwhile, a new road section is planned as a bypass around Vladikavkaz. Costing $84 million, the highway will feature two lanes in either direction and is due for completion in 2024. Funding is being provided by the Russian Federal Government.

In addition, the tender process is commencing for the $126.7 million worth of work to the M-4 Don Highway. There are four separate contracts open to tender for the tollroad project, with the winner due to be announced on 24th February 2022.
