Major highway works are underway in Serbia at present. Construction work is being handed by the Chinese contractor, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
The firm is working on a €1.7 billion contract for a 75km stretch of the pan-European Corridor XI. The work is expected to take 36 months to complete.
The contractor is also building a new bridge spanning the River Danube as well as a bypass for Novi Sad in a deal worth €175.5 million.
