A finance package is being provided that will help pave the way for a highway project in Senegal. The US$257.3 million package is being provided by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
The highway project will provide an improved road connection between Senegal’s capital, Dakar, and the cities of Tivaouane and Saint Louis. The highway will measure 200km long once complete and will boost transport between the north of the country and Dakar.
