Ferrovial’s US subsidiary Webber is carrying out road upgrade and maintenance works worth US$340 million in Texas. Construction work for the projects will commence in late 2022 and be carried out in Collin, Comal, Denton and Kaufman counties. The package of works was awarded to Webber by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The largest of the works is for the $119.5 million upgrade Highway 80. This route currently features two lanes in either direction and will be widened so that it has three lanes in either direction. A $111 million contract in Denton County will see improvements to the road linking the IH-35 and FM 455 routes. A $50.4 million package of works will see a 7km stretch of road being improved in Collin County. Other works will be for smaller projects.
