Costing US$1.54 billion, the Mawan Cross-Sea Passage represents a major engineering challenge and is expected to take three years to complete. The projects being carried out also include the upgrade of Yueliangwan Boulevard (which includes a new viaduct), improvements to the Meiguan Expressway and building an underpass for Gongchang Road.
