A series of road improvements is being planned for Latvia. The work is being planned by the country’s Transport Ministry, with input also from the Latvian Environmental Protection and Regional Development Ministry.

In all, some 105 road stretches will benefit from the work. These extend a distance of 900km. The work is expected to cost €300 million.

The work will be carried out during 2021, 2022, and 2023. The aim of the work is to improve transport connections. The biggest single project in the programme is for improvements to a 235km stretch of road in Latgale, costing an estimated €77.7 million.
